Many mistakenly think luck is something that happens to a person by chance; which implies a mindset of “it was meant to be”, representing that luck is something a person has or has not.
Theory of Self-relativity defines “luck” as “when determination and action create opportunity.”
And
Theory of Self-Relativity defines “chance” as “the possibility or probability of something happening.”
Therefore, luck is not synonymous with chance because luck requires personal intent and input to reach a desired event or a favorable outcome. However, chance is something that occurs because of probability without intentional-agency and individual-input. Luck or bad-luck can also be affected by positioning one’s Self (intent and input) in the path of the possibility of crossing chance.
This is why when examined closely, good or bad luck will always have our Self as a central component or a contributor to the occurrence.
