Narcissistic Guilt & Remorse

September 21, 2024“Modern Tribalism isn’t as much about loving the tribe, as it is about hating others.”
As coined and discussed by Theory of Self-Relativity, “Externalation” is defined as “one’s focus and preoccupation with external things and events, in order to avoid and distract one’s Self from observing and recognizing one’s own deficiencies and weaknesses.”
And one of the most common means of externalating is through limiting-biases and ideological-groupings, which are the basis for religion, cults and tribalism. Although ideologies and tribalism were originally intended to bring people together for a common cause or a common belief; nowadays, ideologies and tribalism are an often unaware means of externalating personal weaknesses and deficiencies that need recognition and improvement, by shifting the focus to preoccupying and distracting one’s Self onto hating others who are not part of the group.
To minimize externalation and tribal tendencies, we must learn to bring the focus onto our own Self so that we can improve our Self from within, instead of finding faults with others to make our Self feel better.
