Selective-Positivity
August 12, 2025“Religion claims how things are; science demonstrates how things are.”
As discussed in Theory of Self-Relativity, faith, hope, and beliefs are comforting mindsets that we create in order to deal with the difficulties that The Universe constantly throws at us. However, empty-faith, false-hope, and wishful-thinking, in the form of unfounded-beliefs are the primary causes of hopelessness and failure because they are not based on how reality is; they are based on how we want reality to be.
Religion is one the main culprits that promotes thinking and believing without reason and without facts, by making comforting, and often consequential claims that are unsupported with facts and evidence. While religion and its associated beliefs can bring temporary comfort; science does not care about how facts make us feel. Science seeks facts to support beliefs and mindsets regardless of how likable or dislikable the facts may be. Unlike religion, which operates based on faith; science operates based on knowledge. As stated in Theory of Self-Relativity:
“A belief is a mindset that hasn’t been proven with facts. Once a belief is proven with facts, it’s no more a belief; it’s knowledge.”
