Ignorance

“The words of an ignorant person are his worst enemy.”

Ignorance is one of the biggest and most damaging self-inflicted wounds because ignorant people refuse to learn; hence why Theory of Self Relativity categorizes “Denial & Ignorance” as one of the 10-Enemies of self-improvement. While those who deny contradictory or dislikable information do a great deal of disservice to their own Self; those who are ignorant deny such information by thinking and believing what they (think) they know is all there is to know.

The way to prove an ignorant person wrong is to let their words accomplish the task. Although an ignorant person would normally not admit to his/her own ignorance; an ignorant person would often not even be aware that his/her words just proved his/her ignorance. The mental-state of an ignorant person is:

“If it conflicts with what I want to be true; therefore it must be false.”
