Responsibility

“We are responsible for what we say and do, but we can’t be responsible for how others feel or react.”

In some societal, cultural and personal-relationships whereby the true meaning of words are manipulated and changed, and where being euphemistic is forced upon many because of how words might make other-people feel is more important than the factual-reality; it is imperative for us to ensure that our thinking, our feelings and our actions are not guided, dictated or deluded by the need to protect other-people’s comforting-feelings, beliefs and especially their fallacies.

This is why it is important to learn to think factually because only facts can distinguish the difference between what is factually-real and what is emotionally and manipulatively being portrayed as being real. To walk on eggshells or to change our thinking, feelings and behavior in order to protect other-people’s feelings is not our responsibility and doing so could cause a great deal of damage to the quality of our lives. As long as we think factually and our thoughts, communication and actions are based on facts; we should not be responsible for other-people’s personal-weaknesses and their inability to deal with or hear about facts just because they don’t like how facts makes them feel.

Instead of modifying our thinking, feelings and behavior in order to have a relationship with others who can’t handle factual-reality; we should use factual-thinking to filter-out and eliminate such individuals from our lives.
