Children & Animals

“Show me how you treat a child or an animal, and you show me who you are.”

Although Theory of Self-Relativity designates “Dependency & Reliance” as one of its 10-Enemies of self-improvement; pets, children, and even the elderly are dependent on others because of their limited abilities, lack of resources, and reliance on others to provide for them.

While there is no excuse for able and cognitively sound adults to be dependent on others; animals, children and the elderly do not have that choice. Therefore, how one treats other dependent sentient lives is a clear reflection of their moral values and their ability to have love and empathy for the dependent, and even, the needy.

As further stated in Theory of Self-Relativity:

“Adults don’t need a safe space; children and pets do.”
