March 4, 2021“Common-sense is the pragmatic application of observation, knowledge and experience.”
Common-sense is a cognitive-process because it can be improved and strengthened by increasing the level of our knowledge, which means our ability to evaluate with “facts,” and by adding observation, awareness and experience to the mix to achieve the best result.
Those who lack common-sense and are difficult to deal with is because they are not open to learning and gaining knowledge; in other words, they choose to remain ignorant. This is why, it is difficult to engage with those who try to reason, argue and debate from a perspective of limited knowledge.
To strengthen our common-sense, we must increase our awareness, knowledge, experience.
