October 25, 2024“Communicate with the intend to understand, not with the urge to respond back.”
As discussed in Theory of Self-Relativity, most people who debate and argue with the intent to win an argument or with the intent to make others lose, are not interested in learning the truth; they’re interested in holding onto their preferred mindset because their mindset makes them feel better. This is why people become ideological and biased; because limiting their beliefs protects them from recognizing facts that may not be preferential to their perspective.
Whether you’re in a verbal or written communication, make sure to communicate with the intent of sharing and receiving the facts, and not just winning an argument by force.
Because, as further stated in Self-Relativity:
“Most people don’t debate to learn the truth; most people argue to not be wrong.”
