October 29, 2021Eternal-happiness is an elusive dragon that we chase. No such thing exists.
Due to incorrect personal-beliefs and misunderstandings taught to us by family, culture, society and tradition, many of us mistakenly think that once we miraculously get enlightened and discover the secret to happiness, we will finally reach the euphoric state which everyone believes to exist but no one has yet achieved. But when we fail to find this secret that everyone talks about but no one knows how to find, we further sink into the abyss of thinking there is something wrong with our “Self”.
Just because something is believed by many or it has been believed by generations of humans doesn’t mean that something is true and most importantly doesn’t mean it’s factual. Such fallacious-beliefs are categorized under the logical-fallacies as appeals to tradition and appeals to popularity. It is for this reason that Theory of Self-Relativity advocates factual-thinking so that we can become capable of analyzing the value of information that we receive despite its popularity or large-scale beliefs.
As stated in detail in Theory of Self-Relativity, happiness is not a state of existence; it is simply a temporary state of experience and the sooner we learn to understand this fact, the sooner we will learn how to create more experiences of happiness by changing our thinking format so that we can deal with reality as is and not as we want it to be.
