Luck vs Chance
April 12, 2024Need vs Desire
April 15, 2024“It’s okay to ask for help, it’s not okay to rely on others.”
Many incorrectly think “Independence & Self-Reliance” which is one of Theory of Self-Relativity’s 10-Commandments for self-improvement, means to never ask or incorporate others’ contributions into our life. This is not true.
Self-reliance means to learn more and do more things for our own Self so that our dependency on others can be minimized. Self-reliance means for others to add to our life’s requirements; not for others to complete us. The more we can do for our Self, the more we can decide and choose for our Self; therefore, the less we will have to wait to see when and what others will decide and do for us.
However, others can be instrumental in improving our lives, not only by teaching us knowledge and skills; but more importantly, others can help us get out of a mistake, a bad -decision, or an unfortunate event that we happened to get our Self into.
“Asking for assistance is not the same as being needy.”
