Communicate To Understand
October 22, 2024“Life is the byproduct of biochemical reactions.”
Just like the definition of consciousness, for many scientists and philosophers, the definition of life has been a difficult and even challenging undertaking. There are certain criteria that are necessary to define a living entity. Some of the main ones are:
- Metabolism
- Reproduction
- Response to Stimuli
- Cellular Composition
- Complex Growth (ability to Grow)
However, simply defining life has been a challenge. True to its principles, Theory of Self-Relativity describes life as an “immaterial” process or a byproduct of the functions of the underlying “material” building blocks of a living organism. Because, without the proper functions of matter, immaterial processes could not exist.
