Morality: Objective vs Subjective

September 17, 2024“Narcissists often feel bad when they’re caught; not because of what they did, but because they got caught.”
Self-centered and psychopathic individuals such as narcissists and borderlines are more focused on what they want and what they can get from others without any consideration for how their selfishness affects others.
To be selfish requires a person to not have empathy towards others. This is the basis of sociopathy that is shared by toxic and high-conflict individuals. Such people only show empathy, regret, or remorse when they are caught for taking advantage of others; and not because they feel bad for what they did to others.
As stated in Theory of Self-Relativity:
“Toxic people have lots of empathy, not as compassion for you, but to capitalize on your emotions for their own benefit.”
