Happiness Is Not A Choice!
July 27, 2024“Popcorn-Motivation: Fluffy and comforting motivational quotes that have no real life nutritional value.”
Theory of Self-Relativity has designated “Self-Deception” as the #1 of the 10-Enemies of self-improvement because as sentient yet intelligent beings our continuous goal is to feel good, to feel better, or at the minimum, to feel less bad. As stated in Theory of Self-Relativity:
“The need to feel good versus the necessity to think well is one of the main reasons that inhibits self-improvement.”
And one of the ways that we or others deceive us is through empty-motivation and toxic-positivity, by creating thoughts that help us feel better but in reality they do not make any positive change in our lives. This is why Self-Relativity advocates and teaches factual-thinking, so that we can deal with reality as reality is, and not as we want reality to be.
