As discussed in Theory of Self-Relativity, due to entropy, also known as the second law of thermodynamics, negativity and disorder are the default state of the universe and our existence. Hence why, when left alone, there are more ways for things to go wrong than for them to go right. This negativity state of the universe is one of the main reasons we cannot experience positivity indefinitely. The other reason is our mind’s default state of being safety oriented.
Therefore, to experience more frequent and longer lasting positivity and happiness, we must first identify and resolve our negativities, so that we can then experience more positivity. If we don’t resolve and eliminate our negativities, any attempt to feel good will be short lived as the underlying negativity will resurface again. As further stated in Self-Relativity:
“Happiness is contingent on the non-existence of negativity.”
