March 27, 2024Seek Facts and you won’t rely on Beliefs; you will live with Knowledge.
As discussed in Theory of Self-Relativity, beliefs are mindsets that we assume to be true or that we are convinced to be true, but we don’t know if they are true. Although a belief is an intermediate mindset to finding the truth and turning the belief into knowledge; many choose to simply believe and not seek facts because creating beliefs can also be for comforting reasons.
- We can either form a belief and seek supportive facts to turn that belief into knowledge.

2. We can create a belief with the intention of supporting a desired-feeling.
Since beliefs can lead us to the truth, and also, since beliefs can be used to manipulate the truth to our liking; therefore, beliefs, on their own, are not a reliable method of dealing with reality. For beliefs to become a reliable form of dealing with reality and not a means of self-deception, we must find the supportive facts for our beliefs in order to turn our beliefs into knowledge, so that we deal with reality as reality is, and not as we want reality to be.
