Events vs Process
February 27, 2021“True motivation shouldn’t be empty peptalk. True motivation should be an achievable roadmap followed by implementation.”
Although motivation is the first spark needed to initiate change and improvement; empty-motivation, which is often a strong positive-sounding and often chest-pounding peptalk does not and will not yield any results.
In order for motivation to be effective, motivation must be based on how factual-reality is and not based on how we emotionally want reality to be.
Furthermore, motivation must have defined parameters such as goals, and even sometimes dreams, with a well thought-out reality-based roadmap as to how to get to the goal of what the motivation is being activated for.
This is why baseless peptalk and shot-in-the-arm motivation rarely yields results, but it more commonly yields to disappointments and withdrawals. In order for motivation to yield results, we must learn to change how we think.
