April 23, 2024“When you trust your Self, you will have the confidence to trust or distrust others.”
Many, incorrectly think trust is earned, or trust is an attitude or a mindset. However, as discussed in Theory of Self-Relativity, many personal attributes such as confidence, critical-thinking, and emotional-intelligence that people believe to be an attitude or a mindset are actually “skills”. This is why we can’t just become confident or trusting when we decide to, because confidence and trust are both skills that are as a result of our own personal attributes of knowledge and experience. Hence why, Self-Relativity states that confidence is achieved down the line of self-improvement.
Likewise, to trust others, we must first be able to trust our own Self; and to trust our Self, we must have the confidence to know that we can handle anything and any situation that arises. When we have confidence and trust in our Self, we won’t need to try to trust others or to gain their trust, or have them gain our trust. We will be more comfortable in dealing with others confidently, because if others proved to be otherwise, we will have the confidence to move on. As further stated in Self-Relativity:
“Trusting others, begins by having self-confidence and self-trust in knowing that we can always protect our interests.”
