“Words spoken are thoughts expressed; to speak wisely you must think factually.”

Development of language was one of the main reasons for the intellectual advancement of human-beings. The primary reason language was created wasn’t for speaking but it was for thinking. Through language we were able to become aware of, understand and express our thoughts not just to others but to our own self. Language allows us to conceptualize our thoughts hence what we speak represents what we are thinking.

“Think before you speak” is a great statement that actually represents this connection that language creates between our thoughts and our expressions; hence, in order to speak properly we must first think factually. It is for this reason that “Theory of Self Relativity” states:

“You are what you think”
