March 7, 2021“Although success is best revenge; truly successful people do not become successful to take revenge.”
If your focus is external and if your self-identity is derived from other-people and/or other-things, you are not only going to be looking for validation externally but you will be trying to succeed to get higher praise and validation from others.
We can’t truly succeed unless we bring the focus onto ourselves first and we look to change and improve our weaknesses from within. When we focus on ourselves and as we improve, we are going to be so focused on moving our lives forward that we could care less about how others feel or think about us. Therefore, true revenge is only achieved when we are not vengeful because we are too focused on improving ourselves rather than focusing on how to prove our self-worth.
In other words, those who succeed have no reason to take revenge.
