As one of the components of Theory of Self-Relativity’s “Cognitive-Cognition-Technique”, emotional-intelligence is integral to identifying the causes of our feelings.
Theory of Self-Relativity divides feelings at their fundamental-level binarily; tangible-feelings and intangible-feelings (read more in the book for details). Our intangible-feelings are also referred to as our emotions, and the causes of our emotions are always underlying-thoughts. The Cognitive-Cognition-Technique uses our emotional-awareness, which is easier than our cognitive-awareness, to identify the underlaying causal-thoughts of our emotions, so that we can then factually evaluate each thought if it has factual-merit or not. By using our emotions as gateway of identifying our thoughts, we can then use this awareness to resolve and eliminate the causes of our thoughts. When we resolve, eliminate, and improve our thoughts, our feelings adjust accordingly.
