Love

Love is not like a box of chocolates because when you know what love is, you will know what you’re gonna get.

To truly understand and to feel love, one must first understand and feel what love is, and the most important form of love, which is the most overlooked; is self-love. Saying we must love our Self is one thing but knowing how to love our Self is something else. To have self-love, we must minimize reliance and dependency on others and we must become self-sufficient, because when we look for love externally; we will be looking for love in all the wrong places.

We shouldn’t love because we want to be loved; we should love because we know how to love and because we can. When we know how to be complete on our own and when we don’t look for love; being loved or loving others will become an additive value for everyone, and not something that is based on neediness. To truly embed love in our lives, we must love for the right reasons and not for being needy; and to do so, we must learn to better ourselves. This could only happen by changing our thinking and by bringing the focus onto our own Self.
