As stated throughout Theory of Self Relativity “Denial & Ignorance” are two of the most disabling self-inflicted wounds that one carries because dealing with facts and reality hurts one’s feelings. This has become more prevalent as we have moved deeper into technological advancements and as we have increased our safety and security in the modern-times.
Our “entitled” need to protect our feelings and to avoid pain, to feel good, or at the minimum, to feel less-bad, has become so dominant that we use technology and our intellectual advancement to shut down any information that contradicts or challenges our fallacious-beliefs that rationalize our comforting-feelings. This is why Theory of Self Relativity advocates that if we truly want to self-improve and live a life that is in parallel with reality; we must learn to think factually so that we cannot self-deceive through emotional-reasoning.
“To feel good…you must think well.”
